Lots of freebies around the tree at Sassy, including clothes, skins/shapes, and stuff! Little reindeer have pix for most of the gifts. Look for the Lucky Santa (1 prize; 10 minute timer) on the other side of the train tracks. And there is some sort of hunt going on, too, but I didn't look that hard for it. Kaikou Splash has a new Hunt Gift! Find 10 gold coins at his shop and you can get this wonderful Mini Hover Craft! Biased Promotional Plug in 3,2,1 ... Kaikou is a friend and I used to live next to his shop, Splash Aquatics. Take time to explore the wonderful aquarium as you hunt for coins (I bet some are there) and enjoy the rest of this beautiful place.
I once lived next door to Splash Aquatics and visited every day. Despite living elsewhere now I still pop back now and again. It's a fun place to explore and relax, but they also have prize hunts (plus fishing for cash prizes!). The current prize is this Coral Boulder. Oh, how I wish how this had been the prize before I spent L$250 on it. It's a great addition to all my underwater landscaping. Get yours FREE by hunting out coins on the property.
Fantasia Medieval and Fantasy Roleplay Costumes has a hunt of sorts. Find little bottles that have trapped fairies, click them, and get a reward. The first one I found gave me a nice tunic outfit. Then I clicked the sign pictured and got a nice belt with a trapped fairy attached. Not sure what that does for me other than looking cute, but that's enough, I guess. Not sure how long this will go on. The shop also participates in a number of other things, just as L$25 Tuesdays.
It's Back! Livingtree, Robin Sojourner's sim, has their annual gift box out. It includes a Festivus Pole, boots, candy canes, a great sweater, this year's Rudolph nose, and more! You gotta stop and grab it. While you are here, check out Robin's texture tutorials, and the great shops with lots of kid's toys by Robin, Pygar Bu, and Marianne McCann (great people you should meet sometime). I always buy toys for Christmas here. Near the door to the big building you can get info on the "Scribble Me A Christmas" hunt.
A cute little shop with some nice looking stuff at reasonable prices, Heartsick also has an easy hunt going on. Find 13 adorable little ghosts, pay each L$1, and bring home some nice prizes including three seasonal skins, matching themed ears, and clothes. (EDIT: As I look back, I see this was in group notices a couple days ago ... but you should do this!)
The V Tattoo Store has two Midnight Mania boards, one for some male ink and one for the ladies, with only 50 slaps needed each. But look inside the door for this free face tattoo and custom eyes. Very creepy, especially with one of the L$75 Zombie Bait shirts (I bought the green).
It's time for one of my semi-regular "Everyone Hug Serenity" moments. She's a hard working girl and catches a lot of ill-will from outside and inside the Crew for no reason that I can find. Some of the latest round comes from folks who have the temerity to complain about her Kawaii Hunt yet don't have the guts to mounts such an effort on their own. So lets all rally together and give our Serenkitty a big hug. I won't do my usual shout for everyone to send her token L$1 (or L$5), but if you have some spare change ...
It has been quite some time since I have been to Fallen Gods (SLurl), a really great fantasy shop and role play region but, when I tracked down an adorable little avatar to the shop I was not surprised. They are known for top-notch quality and a bit of whimsey. And here she is, a little sapling, one of three avies you can win if you visit. This one is part of the awesome Kawaii Hunt (Web). Find a cute little blue star and this avie is yours free! And you match someone on the Lucky Fortunes machine, you get a matched pair of adult-sized avies in this style. Incredible textures are the highlight here, but the prim work is impeccable. I hope Fallen sells these after a while and that they make a fortune doing it. I'm not going to complain about free, but I would have paid top-Linden for these. Some Epic Butterfly Buddies (Web) and my Linden home in the Elderglen regions complete the scene. I really, really have to get to the rest of the Hunt soon. It's so ... um ... Kawaii!!
I have a few Loco Pocos avies, but my alt is crazy for them so she gets all the fun lately with the various Loco Pocos-related activities. Here she is wearing the prize avie from the Loco Pocos Easter Egg Hunt (SLurl; grab a HUD, find 9 eggs across two sims that match the ones in the HUD and redeem where you started; Special gold eggs, too) in front of the board for the Easter Egg Hunt at Brushed (SLurl), a great shop for Loco Pocos lovers. During either hunt you can pick up a nifty free Easter backpack from Brushed.
Ok... not a freebie but a cheapie that certainly made me think of teh crew. While doing the Blue Blood Hunt ( 1L outfit in variety of colors out until the end of the week) I stumbled across their cute winter outfits. They are available in a variety of colors and have a cute little kitty detail on the sweater for only 25L each. ^.^ Look for the small tree upstairs, they are hanging from it.
70 more minutes on the camp for this item then I can search for 12 special boxes at the new BINA store (SLurl), a favorite store for role players. A complete remodel has taken place, new items are in the "dance" camps, Lucky Chairs (only two that I've seen so far, not the usual four) are refilled, and the Midnight Mania, plus other new things await. Head on down!
Kaikou Splash of Splash Aquatics (SLurl) has updated his shop's treasure hunt, hiding the ten gold coins in new places and changing the prize (see pic). It's a L$300 Swimming Ocean Sunfish that can freely roam in Second Life water (reacting to people near it) or it will swim on an owner-set path. Don't forget to click the "Freebies" sign when you first land.
One of my favorite hunts going on right now is the Halloween Witch Hat Hunt at Frick. Hunt out 10 1L witch hats for 9 skins and one corset dress. All of the skins have beautiful eye makeup that would be great for Halloween, fall, or anytime if you're like me lol. A quick fun hunt, and a great break from all those tedious gridwides going on right now X_X I certainly reccommend this one ^^
