Discover Outer Space

My brother was looking at the map one day to see what was around our newish mainland home and he found a region not connected to any other land but looking like it still belonged with the mainland so he teleported over and spent the next several hours playing. He had found the Mos Ainsley Spaceport, a Linden region with no clear purpose. It looks like the Moles (the Lab's construction critters) built it for fun. You can have fun, too, by getting into the spirit with a free space suit and set of coveralls from the round thing on the wall (SLurl). Then look around and click everything. That is how I found the clothes when I visited. One of the buttons in another room rezzes a shuttle you can fly around.

Cyber Bunker Free Avie

Lucky Kitty Nelly Swindlehurst ponders the free AV Robot from Cyber Bunker (SLurl). Maybe she has the same questions I had ... "Do I really need to join the group to get the gift?" (apparently not it turns out) ... "Will this outfit make my butt look big" (Um ... yah ... as big as all Uranus ::::gigglemew:::).

Near by is another freebie, a flight booster. And the rest of the mall is fun to browse. Lots of nice stuff for Sci-Fi cosplay.

B@R Does It Again!

A new outfit for Halloween, the Pumpkin Elf, is in the Freebies section of Bare Rose (SLurl). I don't see why it can't be worn by women, too. It is very festive.

Many other nice things were announced today, too, so be sure to head on down soon! I'm gonna go get this combo outfit and furniture called I'm Home.

Hug☆Mart

Roy Blanchard shot an IM to me about his Lucky Chairs being on U. Always great stuff at Hug☆Mart (SLurl) so I teleported as quick as I could and was surprised by four chairs! And he has added a Lucky Fortunes machine to his chairs and MobVend.

Sadly, we weren't "fortunate" enough to be a matched pair (I've never won anywhere on that thing) but he's a bear and I'm a lesbian and ... well, let's just say that our folks might object and leave it at that.

If you are a tiny bear like Roy or any kind of Tiny or know one or wanna be one, Hug☆Mart is a great place to shop (Disclaimer: I have two vendors there and donated land to the group) for just about anything you can think up that a Tiny might need or want. When I began in Second Life not many Tinies wore clothes. You should see the selection here! Around the corner to the right of the chairs is a huge (funny word for a tinies store) selection of freebies. Some even work well with full-sized avies.

'Bot Attack!

Being curious I dropped in and my Mini-map showed an avie quite near by, but above me so I figured that Gorgeous was probably waiting. Into the building I went only to be pelted with planets (okay, 1m diameter prims with an Earth texture) and then I was swooped and talked to very earnestly in Japanese! Deciding I didn't need the freebie (No, I'm not it it for the freebs) I simply looked around then left and came back so I could be swooped again, this time with my translator active.

Pretty obvious Gorgeous is a well-programed 'bot. The Rock Vault sim uses 'bots in much the same fashion. Nice little bit of fun and if you need an odd costume, go for it.

Editing the Viking

This is the new Viking Girl outfit from Bare Rose. Simply fabulous! It was released today for only L$140 for Pink (shown), Brown, and Black -- a bargain! Not shown: either of the optional swords. Shoes not included, but most sandals would be appropriate. The hair is ETD's Chandra in Burnt Honey. I'm standing on the big viking boat at the Isle of Lesbos Mall.

Like most outfits, the attachments needed some adjustments and that got me thinking: Items with many prims can be hard to adjust as you can see in this picture. All the blue outline can be confusing and make it easy to lose the X,Y,Z handles that need to be dragged. Notice that Show Hidden Selection is checked in the Tools menu. After adjusting, don't forget to detach then reattach each object when you are satisfied with the changes. If you crash before successfully logging out, none of the changes will be recorded.

This is the same view, but with Show Hidden Selection unchecked. Much cleaner view. Much easier to adjust complicated attachments, especially if you are going to edit linked prims. Of course, this is also great for anything you are building or editing, not just attachments.

Double Cheeseburgers for a Buck!

If you have L$1 and step onto the porch of The Starlust Motel (SLurl) you can get several double cheeseburgers. Apply liberally and you have a nice outfit :)

This made me soooo hungry. Then when I stepped over to the Eat Me store and got the best lookin' free burgers .. oohh .. I need cheeseburgers like some folks need ....

Anyway, zip around the sim. Some great freebies and dollarbies to be found and the place is a hoot to explore. The builds in this sim are exceptionally creative and the merchandise in the stores is very original. As soon as I can I'm going back just to explore.

FYI .. check past notices in the group! So many people begged for me to TP them when I described things in Group Chat! I saw it in the notices and you can, too.
