Ferd's Freebies
Ferd's has a TON of freebies from avatars, to vehicles, to translators, to signs, to follower and rideable pets, to .... oh, my there are just so many things. You must see this place, even if you don't take the freebies. The reason I went there is to try the free Text-to-Speech gadget that lets others hear what I type in SL. I wear a HUD, open a special Flash-enabled Web page, and anything I type in SL is voiced on the Web. By itself, not much, but I can give that URL to others and they can hear me as if I was on Voice. WOW. Finally, us mute Residents can be heard! Often I'm at an party or large event and folks just stop watching chat. Its like I'm not there. This is sooooo cool. Anyway, lots of freebie things there so head on over.

Dream Maker Friend
Dream Maker has cool freebie in a really cool shop. Highly detailed at 31 prims, this shoulder pet briefly plays music when you touch it and gives you a shop landmark. The textures are amazing! The paint brush on his (her?) back is a nice touch and makes this a great toy for artists. Spend some time looking around the shop ... Louna Looming put a lot of work into it and simply popping in and out would be a shame.

Atomic Kitty & Cartoon Kids
Today was Whim Day. Something persuaded me to go to Atomic Kitty when I heard they had a temporary location (SLurl). Like several other shops they are giving out a gift-a-day with boxes under a tree and it's pretty good stuff. The penguin backpack in the pic is one item and I'm tickled that it works so well on Loco Pocos avies, too. The box you see has a sit anim. Nekos will love the tangled-in-the-lights look. Other prizes include clothes, a great waiting-for-Santa cushion (with milk 'n cookies!), and more.
The puppy is an adorable follower pet that I got from a Lucky Chair at Cartoon Kids (SLurl) when I had a notion to jump on a chair call. He rolls around a lot when you move but he greets those that come near you and says cute things when you pet him. Toys, food, and a bed make adopting one easy, if you can fight the crowd at the chair. Pretty good whims I had today.

Get him while you can
Burning Life '08 had a ton of great freebies, but my favorite is this Sand Lizard made by MenuBar Memorial and available with many other great freebs in a simple tent (SLurl or http://slurl.com/secondlife/Burning%20Life%20(Deep%20Hole)/36/180/2 if that doesn't work). But since the event is done you don't have a lot of time to grab the goodies! Toys and skins and clothes! Oh! My!
The lizard does more than 'burn' as shown here. He 'emotes' in other ways and has his own Magic 8 Ball.

Luscia Loon's Store
Luscia Loon announced in the Lucky Kitty Crew group chat that she had a huge number of new freebies and dollabies in her store (SLurl) so quick as a wink I popped over to check things out and I found an adorable store and a cute little owner, Luscia, warmly greeting me. And I found a ton of freebies and dollarbies there ... boxes full of clothes, hats, backpacks, and more. Everything seems so nice ... just check her out in one of the Keep Fit outfits. She also sells some cute pets and information on party services ("We are here to tailor make parties according to YOUR needs, desires and budget =)"). Be sure to look around, too. As I said, it's an adorable store with little surprises to see nearly everywhere.
