Arrshu Fun Goodies!

Not many people may frequent Arrshu's shop but it's always a fun time for me. ^^ If you have been there before you may remember the very old freebies that are still available ( the soda amuses me greatly XD)

Gimme Some Skin ^^

Not a freebie but certainly a good deal, Frick has new decay skins out in both original and mold flavors lol. As a long time Second Life zombie I adore these skins but even more I adore the price! Each skin tone is 50L (and you get 2 skins, both normal and decayed body style) There is also a *wearable* 1L demo skin available ( among tons of other freebie and super cheap cute skins if you haven't been to Frick ^^)

*Sanu's Halloween Hunt

My good buddy Sanu ish having a hunt of awesome proportions! Make sure not to miss out! Following info is from her group. ^^

Its time for something special: A Sanu Trick or Treat! This event will run from the 10th of October through to the 5th of November. This is not a story quest - you may collect the prizes in whatever order you desire.
Long story short: Prance around Sanu and just touch the candy - if you're lucky, it will be a treat, but if you're not, you might just recieve a wicked tricking! You might be tempted to not click the ones that contain tricks, but I swear, they're just as fun as the treats are! If you're up for the challenge, try to find all the ways you can be tricked as well as treated.

Please note, some of the candies you are hunting for are not so large! But with a bit of looking around, you will find them. Please don't yell out locations - I want people to be able to enjoy finding them themselves. If you need to tell a friend, please do so in IM so that other people don't get the surprises spoiled for them.
There are 30 candies in total - 12 of them contain tasty treats, while a further 18 contain only tricks. You will not be charged a single dime for the tricks, but the treats will set you back a whole linden each. What do they contain? When you've collected them all, you will have recieved 2 full candy-corn accessories packs (including shoes, wings, witches hats and candy-corn cauldrons that really drop candy-corn!), 3 different types of mouth candy-corn and 4 little candy pumpkins!
f you enjoy the event, enjoy the prizes and would like to show your appreciation, there are tip jars located in several areas around Sanu area - no pressure, mind you!

Zombiefest \o/

Zombiefest is here and well I suppose you could say I'm more than a little partial to the whole idea lol. Regardless, there are so many super cute freebies and cheapies to be had here that you would have to be stuck in a grave not to want to come to this one ^^ One of my favorite stores, Rotten Toe, has some super cute goodies out. Not only is there an adorable hair out for free there is also a super cute "suicidal" dress set in blue for only 20L (and don't worry all you non-creepies out there lol it comes in bloody and non-bloody versions :P)


Be sure to look around the stores while you are there too, some great sales for the festival and proceeds all go to American Red Cross ^^

Lesbos Haunted House Freebies

The Isle of Lesbos has a free 5-minute carnival-style Haunted House ride in the mall sim, open to men, women, child avies ... well, anyone not banned. It can be a wee scary and has flashie-lights, but it's all in fun. I'd post more pix, but that would take away some of the surprises. Loco Pocos Halloween 2009

How lucky am I? Lucky enough to be invited to a press preview for the Loco Pocos Halloween 2009 Trick or Treat game. Just like last year's game (as blogged here), you grab a customizable pumpkin after teleporting to a creepy, dark neighborhood and go from door to door, "knocking" in hopes to get a gift.

Sometimes when you knock you get a trick not a treat, even though the door asks your preference. You can be blasted with fire, as seen here, attacked by a ghost, or crushed to death. A couple new tricks await you this year but I don't want to spoil the surprise. Just be ready for anything, including lots of candy that you can nom at or give away if you get duplicates. Other prizes like an arrow-through-the head are given out, too.

And if you are given a special key, you can win a new avie! Teagan Blackthorne, pictured here, on the left, won while I was there and quickly added hair, a dress, and some shoes to this adorable piggy. She and I both found that sometimes you have to click on a door two or three times before it is "knocked." It isn't a problem, really, and I thought it was just my mouse until she mentioned it.

During my 30-minute run I got a lot of candy and helped snag some bugs in the build, pointing them out to the ghostly owner, Damien Fate, and trying to steal candy from his pumpkin. Damien worked very, very hard on this, like all his projects, and if you see him floating around, be sure to give him a hug.

Though I didn't win the prize avie, I think I looked pretty sportin' in my demon avie, one of several recently released spooky new ones (read more about them here). They are L$350 each with another L$100 each for the leather jacket and leather pants I added. You can buy them in the store or in the Trick or Treat village as you see here.
