Lesbos Haunted House Freebies

The Isle of Lesbos has a free 5-minute carnival-style Haunted House ride in the mall sim, open to men, women, child avies ... well, anyone not banned. It can be a wee scary and has flashie-lights, but it's all in fun. I'd post more pix, but that would take away some of the surprises. When you arrive (SLurl), click the door shown here then the swirly light to enter.

At the end of the ride you can grab copies of the plushie toys shown here. Just buy for L$0 each. No, you can't buy the piggy. That's my alt in the Prize Avie from the Loco Pocos Halloween game (Web).

SL6B Freebies Preview

While working on the Isle of Lesbos exhibit for the Second Life 6th Birthday (SL6B) I'd occasionally take a break to check out some other builds. There's a lot of really cool stuff there from interactive displays, to games, to some great builds. But if you just want freebies, there are plenty for you to grab. The pic shows me at home flying one of the four free kites I found at the Future of SL Citizenship exhibit (SLurl). This is a fabulously animated toy and since I hate just standing around it gives my avie something fun to do. By the way, feel free to visit my place pictured above (SLurl). No freebies, but it's a nice place to relax.

Another great item is Jopsy's "SL6B Data Cruiser v1.1" from The Particle Laboratory (SLurl). It would remind you of an elegant manta ray that you can ride on, but it is a Matrix-display-like "data stream". Well, you have to see it. And then you have to ride it. Very cool. The UFO at the back, opposite the Cruiser is pretty cool, too, and also free. But just getting from the ground to where you can get the freebies is fun, too. One of the better builds at SL6B.

The Designer Showcase Network (SLurl) has an awesome live planetarium/globe that displays a map of Second Life® as if it was a starscape. Babel Translations (SLurl) promotes it's top-rated language translation services with a free Language Kiosk, a note-giving gadget you've probably seen in many popular stores.

You have to wait until the exhibits open to the public on the 23rd, but please make Lesbos@SL6B (SLurl) one of your first stops. I worked my bum off to build it and gave exhibit helper Randi a special gift for visitors.

Isle of Lesbos 2009 Valentine's hunt!

The Isle of Lesbos 2009 Valentine's Hunt starts February 7th and ends early on the 15th. A quick hunt but well worth it.

Each region has seven hidden hearts. When you find one, click it and say I Love You (just like that .... no punctuation, each word capitalized) to get your prize. The Oasis of Lesbos has some extra hearts hidden by the merchants inside their stores so there is more than seven to find (how many? hmmmm. I don't know. Still waiting to hear from the merchants, but at least two.)

Oh ... sometimes the hearts move. Must be gravity or something. If any male wants the prizes from the Women Only region, contact me! Please respect our preferences and you might even get some erotic art for men!

Here, Free Fishie Fishie Fishie!

It seems like a hundred years ago I set out to make custom fishies for the 7Seas^® fishing areas at the Isle of Lesbos Resorts but never got un-busy enough to do it. But while making prizes for the up-coming Valentines Hunt I was inspired to make LOVE Fish ... in eight colors!! Win them now or a custom (rather mature) t-shirt or a rainbow bikini. The clothes and the B/W fish are set to Common whilst the rainbowy-color fishies are Uncommon. I have ideas for more fishies so I hope to have them before the Easter Hunt.

Another Hunt @ Lesbos!

There are ten stockings hidden on The Isle of Lesbos (SLurl; Women Only) filled with gifts for the ladies. Another ten stockings are hidden on The Isle of Lesbos Mall sim (SLurl) with gifts that men and women would enjoy. No secret phrases this time around but the stockings may not be as obvious to find as in other hunts earlier in the year (Hints: I like to put them in amusing places and sometimes move them from day-to-day, but one is always near the main landing areas). Simply click the stocking and a folder full of goodies will show in your inventory with a name starting "Isle of Lesbos Stocking" followed by odd letters and numbers (I use them for sorting the stockings).

There are no stockings hidden on Oasis of Lesbos or Bay of Lesbos sims but these places are great to visit if you have some time. Hopefully you've been looking for the wrapped presents that change content and location around the skating pond on the Isle (SLurl). If any male really wants the stuff for the ladies on this sim, please contact Uccello Poultry.

Not-Quite Advent Gifts @ Lesbos

If you hadn't heard, there are two gift-wrapped presents on the Isle of Lesbos (SLurl; Women Only; men can contact Uccello Poultry after Christmas for the prizes) at the skating pond (use the teleporter at the entrance). The prizes and locations around the pond are changed every couple days. Look for the 2008 Isle of Lesbos Stocking Hunt to start very, very soon.

Lesbos Turkey Leg Hunt: Last Days

The last couple days for the 2008 Isle of Lesbos Turkey Leg Hunt are here. I've been getting tons of comments about how much fun folks are having and how much they like the prizes (worked my itty bitty kitty butt off for those). Though this style of hunt has been used on the Isle before I've had a small increase in the number of folks giving up. Well, some of the legs were bigger last year.

Like most of my hunts, this was not a Click-n-Grab. It was designed to be a game. So, for those with little time or patience, let me make the game a wee bit easier (okies ... a whole lot easier). Contact me in-world and I'll send a note card to you with all the landmarks for all the prizes. These landmarks will not let you teleport directly to the Turkey Legs, but if you click an LM in the card then click the Show on Map button, you merely need to follow the red arrow. Go in sequence. Each leg will give you the Secret Phrase needed for the next.

If I don't get back to you I probably missed your message. Send a note card as my IMs are capped quite often. The hunt will shut down sometime late (late late) on November 30th or early December 1st.

Oasis of Lesbos Video

SLCN.tv again highlights an Isle of Lesbos Resort property. This time it is the Oasis of Lesbos (SLurl). High-end clothes, skins, jewelry at pretty good prices. The freebs are pretty minor and seem to change often. But it is a beautiful build. Look for the Isle of Lesbos Mall (SLurl) in the sim to the southeast ... many freebies and the Turkey Leg Hunt blogged about earlier (Web).

Turkey Leg Hunt

The 2008 Isle of Lesbos Turkey Leg Hunt is starting a few hours early so come on down! Go to The Isle of Lesbos (Women Only; SLurl) or The Isle of Lesbos Mall (SLurl) and look for TEN Roast Turkey Legs in each sim. We have some great prizes with a Home for the Holiday theme: fine furniture, decorations, art, and many other seasonal items. Remember, though, that like last year's Hunt you'll need to find just the right leg first, click it, and say a Secret Phrase. That leg will lead you to the next.

On the Isle, think about looking in a cold place first and use this Secret Phrase: Eat Ham (just like that, no punctuation).

If you start in the Mall, think about a pretty lady of the sea and use this Secret Phrase: Eat Ham (yah, it was easier for me to do it this way). There are some BONUS LEGS in the mall from several fine merchants:

Isle of Lesbos Hunt: Halloween Devil Kitties

The Isle of Lesbos 2008 Halloween Prize Hunt started today!!!

This year's hunt is focused on fun. Three squads of Devil Kitties have been sent to the Isle and if you find them they have to give a present to you. Well, not all of them. Some will rudely run away. Simply touch any Devil Cat to see if you get a prize or not.

Ten prize-giving Devil Cats are on the Isle of Lesbos main sim (SLurl) and may occasionally be moved about. Men who wish the prizes from the Isle may contact Uccello Poultry. These are mostly handbags, backpacks, and pets (kinda).

Five Devil cats give Halloween Bear prizes in a haunted maze on the Isle of Lesbos Mall Sim (SLurl) . Just use the teleporter near the Halloween Hunt sign to enter the maze. Your goal is to reach the Southwest corner from the entrance, avoiding monsters and snagging prizes along the way. To really enjoy the maze, change your Environment Settings to Midnight and crank the volume.

The Isle of Lesbos started The BIG Prize Hunt today. Each of the four sims (The Bay of Lesbos, The Isle of Lesbos, The Isle of Lesbos Mall, & The Oasis of Lesbos) has 10 "orbs" hidden.

Prizes in the Bay are mostly custom bikinis while the Oasis features prizes that are great for your landscape. Nearly all the Mall prizes are LOLCat artworks. Porn seems to be a popular prize so that is mostly what you'll find hidden around the main Isle.

Men are not allowed on the Isle but may visit the mall. If they are found on the Oasis or the Bay and are not making trouble they might get a warning. If any male in Lucky Kitty Crew wants the Isle prizes, drop a note card to Uccello Poultry.

Isle of Lesbos Hunt: World Flags

The Isle of Lesbos is proud to announce another of it's unique prize hunts: "Where is the World? World Flag Hunt"! Twenty international flags have been hidden on two sims. When you find one, click it and identify the flag. If you answer correctly, you get the prize! Don't worry, each flag gives clues and you can answer as often as you want).

Ten are on the main sim and ten are in the mall sim.

If men want the 10 prizes from the Women Only side, drop a notecard to Uccello Poultry with the names of the 10 countries from the Mall sim and she'll send them along.

Hint for Stuck Hunters:Most of the flags are set to 'full bright' so try looking at Midnight.
