Tasty Vanilla Creme Uccie!

After seeing our beloved Serenkitty as a tasty treat in blue I was eager to get a similar outfit, so I did ... only L$99!! I went to one of the several YumYum locations the followed a landmark to the main store (SLurl) and dove into the pile of cupcakes they have there and grabbed some freebies, too. More about my visit at one of my personal blogs.

Freebs can be Beautiful

So here I am wandering around checkin out freebs and I happen across this placed called M's R&D

So I check it out and see a waterfall thingy for freeb and like \o/ Yay!

Then I turn around and see it on display and was like OMFG!!!!

So yeah, definitely a must check out even if you don't want it (not that I could understand why) this area is great for a pose or two!

New Freebie @ Grendel's Children

It looks like Grendel's Children is remodeling, but for now if you head there (SLurl) you can grab the newest free avie: A Hippo!

This is me in a temporary habitat at the Isle of Lesbos. Got stuck on guard duty and couldn't hit the jungle pond.

Kies, kinda tired of saying have the LM show on map to guide you or punch in the coordinates.

Seriously, no one has the time to tp everyone to every exact location and SL LMs don't always bring you to the spot. It happens.

So what can you do?

You can open the LM, find it in your inventory, right click it. Choose About Landmark. Then click the Show On Map button.

But that doesn't always work. So what else can you do?

Click the Map button at the bottom of the screen. Search the sim's name that you're in. Then type in the coordinates that are written on the LM themselves.

What else can you do?

Well you can complain to the group about being lost and someone might be nice and go tp you there. But most unlikely and Sereni will just bang her head against the wall cause people don't listen. e.e

Hopefully this cleared up for the people who're lost. Keep supporting the group, thanks. XDDD

I have Feebie Vision!

Maybe it is a new bug or I have Freebie Vision, but when I visit Storm Thunders' Avatars Toys & Freebies (SLurl) I see two, light blue-colored twisted cubes filled with Freebs and a top hat with Freebs.

Apparently others don't see them. "Others" meaning "several people." So I've put the full-permed freebies from each in the Freebie Giver at LKC HQ (SLurl). A nice Coca-Cola bikini is among the items.

Free ☺ & No Mod ☹

I'm trying my new freebs from Wonderhair (SLurl) and the pieces look very well constructed and textured. But I've yet to find a piece that can be adjusted to fit my head. Now I've been accused of having a big head (justifiably so, in some cases), but ... Anyway, some look to be Mod and some don't so grab all you can and delete what you can't use.

How to stop look like a newbie in 5 minutes?

Well, Idid really hard work in PS this time (even that I don'nt have to do that, but it cool and fun , and i love to change the makeups on newbie skins , lol you will see what i mean)

They have there lucky chair (you have to camp for 100 Minutes to get the skin) and they are changing their skins pretty often , so if u got two or three of them, wait for more^^ , I used some old skin that I had in my inventory (and of course it didnt look like that ^_^ I changed the makeup and gave her more light lol )

This Bitch Swooped my Chair

Okay, I know this has happened to you before, either in Lucky Chairs or Camping Chairs, but doesn't it piss you off every single time?

Yes? I thought so. So, I was at Magika, I had just finished camping a 100 minute chair, and I was flipping through the hairs, deciding which one I wanted to do next, when all of a sudden the hair flipped back the opposite direction and some bitch with a top hat appears all of a sudden in the seat.

So, I tried to talk with her in open chat. She ignored. I think she went AFK. BITCH! So, I did the only thing I could do, because you can't orbit someone when they are sitting down, I took her damn picture.

Has this happened to you? What resiliency strategies do you use so you don't get completely irate?

Flamingos in SoHo!

It seemed like the whole Crew was in SoHo, New York for a Flamingo Hunt! Serenkitty reported 28 of the smelly birds. I found 27 and one humped my leg. It was so many you couldn't swing a dead dog without hitting one. But all-in-all we just had some great fun! The Hunt ended at Midnight so you can't go now, but I might tease you with some of the prizes in a later post. You might want to visit anyway as it is a pretty sim. If you like to scuba it would be a good way to kill about 30 minutes.

Dark Eden Item Camp

I can't say how much I heart Dark Eden! If you've never been they also have some awesome freebs in front of their store. But anymew, head to the Dark Eden Item Camp chairs inside the store.

Almost everyone loves shoes, even I luv Dark Eden's stuff cause almost all if not all are no trans. So I can mod it to my crazy huge feet. XD This is a 45 min camp but obviously well worth it.

The other item up for camp for 30 mins is the sweet belt which I think really matches the boots!

So this is Serenity campin' away here at Dark Eden! Come by and check out the sweet goods from this shop. ^^

Mare Item Camp

Head to Mare (a very pretty japanese store) and there's 2 item camps in the shop.

One is a lovely pink kimono though the camp time is very long 222 minutes in the bath tub. I hope my fur survives. x_x;

The other is some Survival Boots which I think are amazing! The camp time for these are 123 minutes. Sucha pretty harp!

The Lowdown on SLURLs

I'm so happy that I figured this out early on. Let me impart my knowledge on you.

SLURLs are comprised of a region name and an XYZ coordinate.

If you've ever built anything, you'll know what I mean by XYZ coordinate, but basically think of that as the "Address" for the place you are headed.


Oldbie Tricks:

1. Hit the Map button and hit "Copy SLURL to Clipboard." Then you are free to paste the SLURL into a chat window, an email, the LKC Blog, wherever!
2. A SLURL in your chat history is clickable.
3. You can type your own SLURL. For Example: Serenity posted the Lucky Kitty Crew Headquarters address as follows: Bruissac (103,43,37). This means that it is in the Bruissac region, and it's coordinates are 103/43/37. To create a SLURL for use in the Second Life viewer ONLY, you can abbreviate secondlife://Bruissac/103/43/37. If you want it to appear as a clickable link in a web window (Firefox), you have to type the full address, http://slurl.com/secondlife/Bruissac/103/43/37. Make sense?
4. Sometimes you teleport in and you're not where the SLURL said you were going to go. That's because this region has a "Telehub." For some odd reason, the owners of the region decided to confuse everyone by making us all teleport in to 1 location on their sim, instead of teleporting directly to the freebie! So, in the chat history, click on the SLURL to pop up the Landmark window. Hit "Show on Map" to see your red beacon. Then from the map hit teleport. You should now see a Red Beacon that you can fly to to retrieve your hard-fought prize!
5. What if you can't fly? I HATE no-fly zones. I can see why some places have no-fly zones, but frankly I think it's stupid. Good thing you can override it and fly anyway! hehehe. Hit Command + Option + V.

Sneaky Trick 1

Sometimes you run across a multiple-prize chair that doesn't show the prize to be won, like this one pictured here, or like the Santa's Lap timed chairs that pop up during the Holidays. It is pretty easy to check what the prizes are and here is how:

➀ Right-click on the chair and choose Edit.

➁ Right-click on the chair and choose Edit again!

You may need to click the More >>> button

➂ In the Edit pane, choose the Content Tab

There's all the goodies! Now make a list or just compare to what you have already won.

That Sparkle in Her Eyes

Kira McCallen teleported me to Tailz De La Fae (SLurl) for a prize chair with a wonderful prize (a high-quality lion neko skin) and I found some freebs in the corner! One of which was Glowing Eye Prims. I pictured some sort of monster-robot-evul thing and was pleasantly suprised!

Also in the corner is a box of free kitty sounds that are pretty typical of what you'll find elsewhere in Second Life™ shops and a unicorn horn (fine if you don't like to mess with a prim on your own).

Item Camping at Neko Gear

Usagi Shouten

This will be a treat to all you bunny/usagi lovers out there. ^^ I discovered a lil place called Usagi Shouten, which has numerous bunny items for free.

We start off with a freeb bunny cap (it looks like), freeb bunny PJs (which are adorable!), and I don't know really what the thing on the end is. XDDDD

Then we move on to an adorable freeb cuddle bunny umbrella, freeb bunny earrings, and looks to be a mysterious freeb bunny av!

Finally we have a freeb kinda cyber bunny helmet, freeb laser hand thing, and just freeb bunny friend. Pretty darn nice!

Hope all you bunny and animal lovers out there enjoy this. Hopefully trying to make one post a day lately, dunno how well it'll keep up though.

New item camp is put out by Utsuku City pray to the Bear Statue for 10 minutes and recieve a bear plushie to hold on your own.

Baby Dragons!?

So if you've checked out my blog the Fashion Nest. You'll have known I was holding something...

Turns out to be a baby dragon egg!

Like always I was reading into some japanese blogs and found out about a baby dragon pet item camp. Also in this area I could not resist to pick up their japanese koi mermaid getup (it's not free but it's pretty)

But the item camp itself is at http://slurl.com/secondlife/Gorlen%20Bay/4/176/91 high in a nest. The baby dragon item camp requires one to cuddle a dragon egg (to keep it warm of course!) for 10 minutes.

Then after you are done there for 10 minutes you will recieve a baby dragon pet! There are 5 different colors to recieve and each time you camp you will be given a random color. (Of course I camped for all colors cause they're so cute <3)

Unfortunately there's only one camp spot so make sure to share and take turns. Below are posted pictures of the baby dragon. This color is blue and attachs to the shoulder (so unfortunately it takes off my wing =_=;)

Also a heads up that they are no mod/no trans. This will also be posted in notices as well, so hang in there even though SL likes to eat them. ^^;
